Huddersfield’s remarkable start to the Premier League continued on Sunday with victory over Newcastle.

The promoted outfit, playing back in the top-flight for the first time in 45 years, beat the Magpies 1-0.

The match was won with a brilliant goal from Aaron Mooy, who rounded off a 14-pass move with a curled effort from the edge of the box.

It followed up their opening weekend win over Crystal Palace, meaning it’s been two games, two wins, four goals, zero conceded and six points on the board.

Highlighting how exceptional their start has been, they have become the first side in Premier League history (excluding the first year) to win their first two games in the competition.

Match of the Day pundit Gary Lineker put it a way that sounded even more impressive.

The result sees the club sitting second in the Premier League behind Manchester United which has led some to start thinking if the impossible might be possible.

Surely not – but if you believe Huddersfield can be the next Leicester then odds of 1000/1 on them winning the title are still to be had.
