Jose Mourinho is a man with many interests and it seems Conor McGregor’s super-fight with Floyd Mayweather is thing that has peaked the Manchester United boss’ interest.

McGregor is attempting to pull off the impossible against the undefeated Mayweather with the odds stacked against him.

Mourinho was asked about the fight in his pre-match press conference ahead of United’s game against Leicester City on Saturday.

The world’s media and eyes are fixed on Las Vegas and the T-Mobile Arena and it seems Mourinho too will be watching.

But, not until the next day.

‘My dream was that starting in a boxing match and ended in a different way (laughs).

‘Both of them showing their qualities in a fight, not just in boxing, but that’s different obviously.’

He added: ‘Too late. It’s too late. It’s too. I have to sleep and next morning I will look at it.’

Mayweather vs McGregor is set to start around 4am UK time, meaning many will have to stay up into the wee hours of Sunday to watch the action live.
