Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been given a chance to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches on loan, according to reports.

Sanches has struggled to live up to his reputation and €35million price-tag since arriving at Bayern from Benfica last summer.

While Bayern enjoyed another successful season, the Portugal international only played 25 games across all competitions and did not provide a goal or even an assist.

Carlo Ancelotti admitted last week that he will have ‘no problem’ if Sanches was to leave before the summer window closes after previously suggesting he will stay put.

Football Italia say Bayern are looking to loan Sanches out after he was left out of Bayern’s squad for this weekend’s Bundesliga fixture.

Jose Mourinho is a known admirer of the 19-year-old and has always admitted he wanted to bring four players to Old Trafford this summer.

‘Everyone knows I would like a fourth player and I cannot hide that because I had that in my mind,’ Mourinho said last week.

‘But I am happy if I am not going to have that and I don’t think I am going to have that.

‘I was the first to tell my board not to feel any kind of pressure from me in that respect.

‘Probably next summer, I will have to try and get a player from a position I think can make us stronger.’

Chelsea, meanwhile, are expected to be busy this week as they aim to bolster Antonio Conte’s squad with at least three more signings.
