Chivas of Guadalajara was able to defeat San Luis during the latter's home game at Estadio Alfonso Lastra.

The victory was the first for Chivas of Guadalajara in the Mexican League since Chicharito Hernandez went to play for Manchester United.

Marco Fabian De La Mora scored the winning goal for his team in 20 minutes when he took advantage of a weak defense in the goalpost. Fabian De La Mora distracted the San Luis Goalie Carlos Trejo with some footwork before kicking the ball towards the center.

The force of the ball was too much for Trejo as he was unable to deflect it. Trejo looked dejected when the ball touched the goal post while Chivas of Guadalajara celebrated the first goal.

San Luis received an electric shock from the goal and hoped to equalize.

San Luis was able to play a great game once Chivas of Guadalajara started to cede the dominance of the game to the team after the 25th minute.

Chivas of Guadalajara started the game with clarity, leaving the host team on the defensive. The attempts at scoring left the San Luis goalie Carlos Trejo on the defensive until the first goal by Chivas of Guadalajara.

The team started to degenerate in a disorganized state after the first goal. Chivas appeared to be doing zigzags with the impression of being numb and exhausted. They were only playing to avoid an equalizer.

It was a miracle that Chivas of Guadalajara was able to win its first game in the Mexican League season.

San Luis was able to defend itself although it was disorganized in the beginning. They were able to block some attempts at a goal by Chivas of Guadalajara. The team was able to attempt many goals including equalizers without success.

They were disciplined in their plays as well as distribution of the ball and playing field. At one time, San Luis placed Chivas of Guadalajara in danger although the latter appeared unaware of what transpired.

Unfortunately, it seemed that their game plan was unable to materialize in spite of their dominance of the game.

The lesson to be learned is that when a game is being played, the team has to be active, disciplined, and expect surprises.

Chivas of Guadalajara is now up four points in the Mexican League Group One classification while San Luis increased by one point in Group Two.
