Emmanuel Adebayor's claim of imminent loan move to Juventus dismissed by Manchester City

Roberto Mancini will sanction the sale of Emmanuel Adebayor in January if Manchester City receive a suitable bid. However, the club dismissed suggestions that a loan deal had already been agreed with Juventus.

Adebayor, a £25 million buy from Arsenal in July 2009, is reported to have claimed that an agreement is already in place with Juventus, who face City in the Europa League in Turin next month.

Speaking to Sport/Foot magazine, Adebayor said: “I don’t know what I did wrong to Roberto Mancini, but he never makes me play. I’m going to change air [clubs] during the transfer window in January. City has already reached an agreement with Juventus for a loan.’

"I therefore expect to be able to leave in December. Until some time ago, I would not have accepted offers from other teams. I wanted to wear the City shirt and have a better season than I did last year.

“But I have now realised there will not be many chances for me to play, so I am considering the many offers I have received. Juventus are a great club where I would like to play.”

City officials insisted on Tuesday night that no such deal was in place with Juventus. But it is understood that offers for the 26 year-old will be seriously considered should they meet City’s £15 million valuation.

Meanwhile, Dimitar Berbatov’s agent, Emil Dantchev, has insisted that the Bulgarian is determined to fight for his future at Manchester United, despite interest from Juventus.
