Tottenham in Champions League boost as Ronaldinho cast off by AC Milan
Tottenham have dodged a potential Champions League bullet with news that AC Milan forward Ronaldinho, due to face them next month at the last 16 stage, is leaving the Serie A leaders.
The celebrated former Barcelona forward, a former world player of the year, has left the club's winter training base in Dubai to return to Brazil, where he is expected to rejoin his old club Gremio.
Ronaldinho, 30, joined the Rossoneri in 2008 from Barca but has failed to recapture former glories.
