Aly Cissokho is a French defender who currently plays for Lyon in Ligue 1. He generally  plays as a left back and has been described as a "sprightly left back with good speed and stamina."

At age 23, he is one of the hottest defensive prospects in Europe, though Lyon is not thinking of putting him on the transfer market.

In the past, Cissokho had a transfer saga with joining and not joining over to Milan. Due to a failure in medical tests and subsequent negotiations, the deal of Cissokho to Milan from Porto was cancelled, while afterwards Cissokho moved to Lyon.

Does Milan cry now for not signing the man? Surely Cissokho is a tough man along the left flank and also can run fast along flanks to provide adequate dimension to the game.

He offers volumes of versatility, as he is strong with either foot and can play on both the right and left in defence and midfield equally well, although he is often preferred as a right back.

A towering presence at nearly 6'2", Santon is as pacy and powerful as he is skillful.

A move to Liverpool was in the cards, though the change in manager for the Reds may now have stalled the move for the moment.

Kjaer is tall and strong, and he is a type of defender who can sit tight and guard the fort. With more time, Kjaer will be surely one of the best defenders of the world ever.

6 of 10

Another player of the Borussia Dortmund team of Bundesliga, Neven Subotic is a highly rated young centre back aged at 22 years.

A perfect back with 6'4" height and good vision, Subotic is again one of the prime reasons for success of Dortmund this year in Bundesliga, and this is the reason why his club has refused to hear any transfer requests from the big clubs of Europe.

Subotic is also a scorer of the game who often moves up to strike.
