Sunday’s Liverpool-Arsenal match took a scary turn in the second half when Jamie Carragher‘s and John Flanagan‘s heads collided, and the vice captain fell to the ground unconscious.

Carragher received treatment on the pitch for six minutes before being taken off on a stretcher while being given oxygen.

After the match, however, the center back had recovered.

“He’s as right as rain now – or at least as regards him! It was a worry at the time but there is no problem. He’s brand new,” manager Kenny Dalglish reported, according to Goal.com.

Carragher’s recovery comes as a major boost to Liverpool, as the team already is without Glen Johnson, Daniel Agger and Martin Kelly long-term, and Fabio Aurelio again injured his hamstring in Sunday’s match.
