Liverpool is for keeps! I never wanted to leave Anfield, claims Reina
Pepe Reina has pledged his future to Liverpool, claiming he never wanted to leave Anfield in the first place.
The Spain goalkeeper had been linked with a move away from Merseyside with Arsenal and Manchester United both interested. But Reina insists he is more than happy at Liverpool and is already looking forward to next season.
He told Radio MARCA in Madrid: ‘I am happy at Liverpool and so are my family. I’ve never wanted to go.It is true that we have improved a lot this year but we have to keep growing.’

Reina admitted Liverpool have a long way to go to close the gap on Barcelona, who last week won the Champions League final after beating United 3-1 at Wembley.
And Reina added: 'They’re the best team I’ve seen in my life. Xavi and [Andres] Iniesta are the best players in their position in the world. They are a world leaders in every sense. Fortunately, they are Spanish, They’re the two best players in the world at giving the final pass.’
