Throughout the years, there have been some baseball player come along with truly incredible physical skills, and while baseball players are often viewed in a different light athletically as football players or basketball players, the sport has had its fair share of physical freaks.

Whether it is a hulking power hitter, a guy with an unfathomable mix of power and speed, or an under sized player getting the most out of his small frame, there have been some impressive baseball players through the years.

So here are the 30 most impressive physical specimens in baseball history, be it in the form of hulking strength, incredible tools, or undersized superstars.

Charlie Adam

Slowly but surely, Blackpool became one of my favorite teams to watch last year.

Led by the fearless Charlie Adam, the Seasiders nearly staved off relegation from the Premiership. Unfortunately, they struggled at the end of the year and eventually finished in the drop zone.

After his success in the Premiership, Adam will be looking for a new team to play for.

His midfield play could fit into Liverpool's style. He can play outside and inside, he can score goals, and he is a tremendous leader on the pitch.

With his never-say-die attitude, Adam could help elevate Liverpool to another level.

Gaël Clichy

It is no secret that Liverpool desperately need fullbacks. They were sufficient last season, but they need to be upgraded.

Gaël Clichy has played well for Arsenal for nearly a decade and he has become a mainstay in their defense. Now, however, it appears that he could be headed to Anfield.

According to sources, Liverpool have made a move for him already and they seem intent on adding him to their squad.

He was tremendous while Arsenal made their run last season, but his play seemed to slip as the squad's form dipped.

If Liverpool are able to remain consistent, the addition of Clichy would make their weakest position much stronger.

Scott Dann

After playing well for much of the season, Birmingham City finished poorly (with one point from their final six matches)and couldn't avoid relegation.

As a result, Scott Dann is on the way out.

Liverpool will have to outbid Arsenal for the center back, but they seem committed to land their man. The Reds had a suspect defense for portions of last season and they could use a strong player in the middle.

Dann played well for a subpar Birmingham side last year before being ruled out with a hamstring injury in January. With more experience and improvement, he could become a world-class defender.

Jose Enrique

Jose Enrique has played well for Newcastle United for a few years, and he is ready to make a jump to a larger club. Liverpool, needing to improve their wing defending, are looking to add a left back, and Enrique could fit right in.

Enrique pushes up the side well and he can cross the ball consistently. Once he figures out when to get rid of the ball, he will become an elite force.

If he comes to Anfield, he will learn a lot from Kenny Dalglish, and Enrique will be able to improve his style of play.

Charles N'Zogbia

It took him awhile to get going, but Charles N'Zogbia found his stride once again.

Now, it looks like the bigger clubs are finally targeting him.

Liverpool originally wanted Ashley Young, but Manchester United have all but locked up the English winger.

Consequently, the Reds have set their sights on the French star. N'Zogbia is not great defensively, but he can score from distance and he can facilitate goal-scoring opportunities.

If Liverpool can land N'Zogbia, Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll will flourish up top, and the two strikers would have a good chance of scoring 15 goals apiece this season.
