Let's cake and make up! Mourinho birthday surprise from training ground rebels

There's nothing like a birthday party to get in the way of a good argument.

Although Spanish publication Marca recently unleashed a detailed article about a heated training ground spat between Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas and Jose Mourinho, it seems all is well again in the Madrid camp.

The clash revolved around a debate over who should have been marking who when Carlos Puyol scored for arch rivals Barcelona during a recent Copa del Rey match.

But the two players who argued with their notoriously controlling boss are here shown presenting the Special One with an unexpected surprise - a cake to mark his 49th birthday.

Mourinho seemed reluctant to enjoy his present, taking a mere finger's worth of icing, though that's probably due to his desire to keep in good shape, rather than a snub of the offering.

In fact, Mourinho is probably rather pleased that two of his key players seem to be back on his side, for what is sure to be a testing second half of the season.
