Anderson, Jones and Nani to miss second leg against Bilbao

Manchester United have welcomed back Antonio Valencia to the squad for the Europa League game against Athletic Bilbao, but Anderson, Phil Jones and Nani will miss the trip to Spain. Valencia has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in the first leg of the Europa League last-32 tie against Ajax last month. His return to the Red Devils squad for Thursday's clash with Bilbao is timely as Nani is missing after failing to recover from a knock picked up training. Anderson is also absent amid reports the Brazilian midfielder could miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring problem, while the versatile Jones was not included in the 20-man squad. The Red Devils head to Bilbao looking to overturn a 3-2 deficit in order to reach the quarter-finals after being outclassed by their Primera Liga opponents at Old Trafford last week. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to call on Rio Ferdinand's experience for the tie after the defender was an unused substitute for last week's reverse.
