I wish i could say the same thing about IGN (USA) and their reviews.

IGN making no sense again

Has IGN just called "good" and "endgame" something you can literally do everytime in the game?
Walking at your own pacing? Exploring? Fighting enemies with more instruments? Pick whatever delivery you want?
Are they admitting they rushed through the game or what?

Opinion: This is a bad opinion.

Some of the same folks coming to DS articles on a regular with the same negative comments are clearly obsessed with the game.

I have yet to beat it due to lack of time. However some games really open up after beating them, one of them is Metal Gears Solid 5, so it is not a surprise if this game has a lot of post game content.

The game's design is mediocre, Kojima makes your journey A LOT harder than it needs to be and a lot more tedious because art....his writing is mediocre, the story is bloated for no reason at all. The concept is unique, the story itself is not, its Evangelion. Go watch the anime and then play Death Stranding or vice versa and you'll see what I mean.

I def don't think its a 5/10 or a 10/10 I think the real rating for this like at the 7-8 range. Its a good game, by far not perfect, by far not garbage.

Saying a game that is a complete pain while playing it is finally good after playing it is basically calling it the equivalent of a long hard dump that you are relieved to have finished.

The game is amazing as soon you start the game. This is coming from a person that has only liked MGS III

I bought it ... I'll get to start playing it Saturday hopefully it keeps me occupied ... if not well theres a gamestop across the street ok sure theyll give me 10 cents for it.

So you have to beat the game in order for it to become good? I can't see how swimming though a sewer a second time would make it better any better than the first go.

My backlog is so huge I don’t have time for games that take hours to get good. If it doesn’t automatically get me hooked I’m dropping it

I've just finished it after 108 hrs playthrough and have to say what a great game and that's coming from a gamer who hasn't resonated with kojima games in the past.
Although I still scratch my head on the 10/10 reviews and the 5s and 6s being handed out. For me it was a great 8.8/10 with points being docked for some inventory management dicisions they made, plus points docked for pressing skip 4 times with shower scene and getting stuck in tar to just get to the edge became annoying alittle (no sense of panic as it was too easy)
Other than that, great gfx, soundtrack, mocap, facial details and animations, great story great sense of learning your surroundings, route management etc.
I have to say though, for all those giving 10/10 not calling it a walking sim is laughable because at the end of the day its basically a science, delivery, walking sim but guess what, that's OK because its a awesome game keeping you wanting more plus the standard orders are varied and meaningful like delivering pizza :) or saving a baby by delivering antibiotics or a 3d printer as it felt meaningful or important rather than the usual side quests of my husband or son was last seen by the river, go find him and bring him back which feels empty and pointless.
