As long as it releases with original vision and no/hardly any bugs I'd be happy whenever it releases.

I guess that's to be expected with new hardware right around the corner. With backwards compatibility, and these delays, we should have quite a bit of new games to play on powerful systems.

This is why I don't get people's obsession to see gameplay so early. I much prefer to see it closer to official launch than two years early with delays in between.

It's going to continue to happen they are going to have there games closer to launch of ps5 and xbox series x. Then they will launch on all systems current gen and next gen to maximize sales but upscale for next gen. Happened when ps4 and xbox one launched all games got delayed and moved to this gen. All these developers are following all the media hype for next gen like we are and are going to maximize profits where hype is.

I wonder if this is something to do with the ps5 coming out
i'm assuming a few of these delayed games won't be this gen exclusive

I hate devs giving release dates that aren't set in stone. Just say, 'It's ready when it's ready folks, we'll let you know'. Any release date that is 6 months+ is to be taken with a big pinch of salt. The longer the time before release, the more variables there are still in play and therefore the greater the risk of delays, especially longer ones.

If I had my way, they'd only announce release dates when the game is complete and being polished, let's say about 3 months out. At least then, if there is for some reason a delay, it's likely to be a much shorter one.

Look at CP2077. They announced a release date 9 months out. Now they've extended it another 5 months. So release is 8 months away, only 1 month less than the original estimate. So what's to say it won't be delayed again? If you need another 8 months, it means there's still a hell of a lot of crunch and work to do, so how can you possibly know for sure you'll achieve that release date?

Just don't say anything.

If it helps it be more polished than by all means delay it. Id rather have a finished and polished game later than having a buggy broken game now.

Another one delayed though this game is not on my top radar for 2020 releases so the delay is fine with me.

Ha, of course! Delays, delays, delays = can't live up to the hype.

Damn and this is one of the games I'll be getting day one. I'm impressed the original has still been getting updated with new events, as recent as a Christmas one.

This sucks means I have to wait longer till these games are on sale. Thankfully Death Stranding, The Witcher 3 and Persona 5 are meaty as hell games that will keep me occupied till then.

Sheesh, they didn’t even give us a time frame when in 2020......might as well be a launch title for PS5 and Series X.

as excited as i was for the game - with no release date and techland not even sure when they'll be giving any new info - i'm taking the game off my day1 list. it shocks me the best they can say is "coming months" for a timeframe of new infol.

Good, games should be released in a complete and polished state. I will never throw shade at a developer for delaying a game. That is miles better than rushing an unfinished product out the door for profit and greed. People need to manage their disappointment. There is always some other game releasing, and you probably have a backlog of games to play as well.

Seems like a lot of companies realize they need next gen machinery to realize their true visions. The current Gen versions of these games will be billed as functional but inferior with missing features.

Rushing art .. rushing a artist is wrose thing can never happen i am a tattoo artist and if i got experience and can give a estimate on how long a piece will take but if i am getting push to finish it for whatever reason it bring stress i don't need and the tattoo doesn't end up been bad but i warranty it doesn't end up looking at it best. Sure if i have unlimited time is also not good either lol i may end uo adding or doing extra work that doesn't necessarily benefits.

The point i am trying to make its that its good that developers have extra time to do their art best possible and settling a time specially when you are doing something new is never good.

Not the same to make another last of us than doing a next gen last of us with a upgrade next gen version for example. And same thing could be apply to cyberpunk or any game they did the witcher 3 so they knew how long kind of it will took them to do certain stuff but this other game is different from what they are used to so putting a accurate time on it its so complicated for a artist.
Same for last of us II they are doing so much more little details that they have never done and lost track of reality on how long it will take them to archive.

Same thing will apply to me if you tell me how long i will take to tattoo a rose i kind off know because i have done it before but if you want a rose with skull face and stuff around that i never done i can only guess but dont hope for me to be accurate on the time since it's a new job never done and i can only guess.

People need to understand this and their boses also need to understand this and not put pressure to the artist

As much as I loved the first entry this game honestly hasn't been on my radar so it being delayed doesn't bother me that much, especially since iirc they never gave an actual release date.

I don’t care if they delay games if the come out better for it. It’s not like I don’t have a massive backlog of game I Want to play anyways . I keep pushing games back because games release so quickly

I think they are nice delaying their games so I can play Nioh 2 for a few months!
First game took me a total of 842 hours to complete and Platinum (including the seasonpass)
So playing Nioh 2 until LoU2 comes in may, followed by summer (mostly familytime) makes it ok-ish with these games coming just before next-gen hits us.
I'm just curious about Ghosts Of Thsushima, when is Sony going to squeese that in? They still call it a PS4 game but I'm 100% sure it drops on PS5 releaseday and still works on the PS4, but we'll see I guess.

I don’t know anyone at all who even remotely cares about this game. So maybe the delay can actually help gin up interest for the game over the coming months.

I mean I owned all of the other Dying Light games but at this point the zombie thing has been done to death. Which is why Dying Light 2 really isn’t on my list.

Stop crying over Delays so close to PS5 release and realize that they are pushing it back 4 sure to be able to use it on PS5 with even more detail and faster loading and even a bigger world maybe so stop your whining and wait what? 6 more month and you will 4 sure be able to play it in much better graphics , faster loading times and a lot more detail.

Well if it needs more time I am glad they are doing it, the first one was such a great game it would be a shame if this game wasn't done right.

I cann tell you why: microsoft have bought techland. The game will still come out on ps5 like outer worlds.

What if all these delayed titles get shifted to the next gen of consoles completely missing current gen? I'm not saying it's gonna happen but it could, can just imagine the devs stating that to deliver the experience they've envisioned they've decided to move to the next consoles, sorry more details available soon.......
