That game was delayed in 2019.

@Elda yes i know but it was supposed to be released in Feb 2020. Still an early 2020 game.

I know naughty dog is infamous for delaying their games and its worth but i thought it was really strange to have release date reveal trailer and month later announce the delay...

Gods and Monsters - Rainbow Quarentine - Watch Dogs Legion

Yep, I'd include Vampire Masquerade 2 as well :s

2020 originally seemed like an insane start to the gaming year.

On the plus side, we've got Resi Evil 3 Remake, which we didn't know about at the time we were watching E3. Oh well.

Still, Jim Henson's Dark Crystal Tactics hasn't been delayed and releases on the 4th of Feb! We're all excited for that aren't we? Eh? Yeah? Anyone?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to the next-gen of consoles most likely being later this year. While none of these games are next-gen release only the inclusion of backwards compatibility for at least the current-gen would most likely boost sales to the larger games such as Cyberpunk which would benefit from the extra power these consoles are said to bring.

2020 has been the year of delays and we aren't even out of January yet :/

jambola1555d ago

at this point we're better off assuming any game that has a release date this year will be delayed

rainslacker1554d ago (Edited 1554d ago )

Luckily most of them arent huge delays. Still disappointing considering were ready to play them. We'll forget about delays when the games do start coming.

It's just because devs want to jump on board the PS5/Nextbox launch-window gold train.

If you don't believe me look up why Ubisoft delayed Watch Dogs Legion.

TKCMuzzer1554d ago

Well, new gen consoles release at the end of the year, games getting delayed until nearer the end of the year. Can't be a coincidence, multi plat releases, whilst gaming fever is high. They are all just trying to take advantage of the buzz that will be around.

Damn.. 2020 was looking to be an epic year but it’s probably just going to be a year of delays. I guess you can expect that with next gen right around the corner. I want the games to be the best they possibly can so I don’t mind the delays but it’s still a bummer. I’m low key kind of glad that there aren’t 47 good games in quarter one lol.

TGGJustin1555d ago

I mean this was the most obvious one. It only had a Spring 2020 launch date and we're almost at Spring. I wouldn't doubt if this one gets pushed to early next year like the first one was given that they provided no new window for it today. I was already going to wait on it b/c they said they would have a next gen version so.

carcarias1555d ago (Edited 1555d ago )

You're right, any vague season release window usually means it's rough estimate. I'm glad they're simply saying, 'We'll let you know later'. Hopefully they'll only announce when they know for certain. Maybe at E3 they'll say it's an September/October release.
