So-so first half from Arsenal. No pressure, but trying to counter, which was successful to some extent.
Second half pressured applied, defense pushing forward more, conceded because of it, but it made the attack shine. Best Way to finish the year.

I have some issues with both of them. With Villa if its a loan is fine, but if its a purchase he is only a two years signing at most, because of his age.
I prefer Ba. he is younger and decent, however I've heard that he has a bad knee that can give up at anytime, and we all know we don't need more injury prone players. So if his knee problems are false then I would welcome him.

I Still don't see the problem with this, true RVP got hit hard, but no reason to punish more harshly, a yellow should be more than enough. I didn't see any intention to hurt RVP. At most it seems like he reacted like any defender trying to get the ball away. He could have easily kicked him in the head if he wanted to. If they were to punish him for this then they would have to start punishing free kick takers when they hit someone in the head with the ball.
As long as this is mainly for footballing reasons, I don't see how this could embarrassed Arsenal. He wants to player regularly and maybe reading can pay him more than Arsenal.
Usually Arsenal doesn't perform badly when they are the underdogs.....they go at it since they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
