Exactly. The kid was clearly time-wasting and he should've just thrown Hazard the ball, but Hazard should've acted like the Adult. People do rash and stupid things when they're desperate and that was Hazard this time.
...still pissed off at the ball boy though.

Agreed. Swansea's defense seemed impenetrable, and although Chelsea had more possession and isolated Michu, Swansea were DEADLY on the counter.

And if Arsenal would have played the way they did in the first half for the entire game, Chelsea would have won 5 nil. You seem to completely miss the fact that Chelsea utterly dominated the first half. 2-1 is a fair result if you look at the stats. Chelsea had more possession and they had more shots on and off target.

Right, you did it for the trophies. Oh wait...

Goal.com awarded Torres with "Flop of the Match"... Even though he only came in the last 10 minutes. By that time it was already level. As this game proved, Torres is not Chelsea's problem, Chelsea is Chelsea's problem. How could we give up a 2 goal lead? Torres wasn't even THAT bad tonight. I mean he had a couple of decent chances and got us a couple corners.

As always, our problem is that we are not clinical with the chances that we receive, and...

The air around the bridge is very "toxic" these days. Fans are very angry and spend more time hating on Benitez and his decisions than cheering on the team. The attitude of the fans also reflects onto the team.

Damn, oh well. He'll do great things with Bayern.

Also, why is Heynckes stepping down in the summer?

Nice guy Kompany over here...

Most people would (understandably) be pissed off with the Ref's decision to be sent off. Rare to see someone defend the ref, let alone the guy that was sent off.

@ Oli

There are a LOT of rumors flying around these days about who Chelsea will get next, and i would love to get the likes of Fellaini or Falcao in the squad, but i highly doubt any of them are going to happen, at least not in the winter.

@ Oli

Well he's certainly not keeping Benitez if that's what you're getting at. Also, what spending spree? So far we've only gotten Ba, and that was for like 7 million...

It makes one wonder. Abramovich wants Pep more than anybody in the world. Lets say hypothetically that Pep is indeed the next Chelsea manager. If he doesn't do that well, would Abramovich fire him? I mean Pep is the manager Abramovich has wanted all along, if he fires him, who in the world would Abramovich hire next. This is why I think that if Pep comes to Chelsea, Abramovich would actually give him time and complete (well almost complete) control over the squad, well at least for a...

I'm optimistic, mainly because I can't picture a Chelsea without the legend that is Lampard. I'm still hoping Lampard and Cold are offered new contracts.

I'm such an optimistic person, I still hope Torres starts scoring regularily...

I want him to do well, no matter where, and it's looking less and less likely that it will be Chelsea. If it means Torres will return to Spain, then so be it.

I want Torres to succeed, I really do. I see so many fans wanting his head on a pike, and it's really disheartening. He was once my favorite player in the world, now he's like a shell of his former self.

I wonder what a month or so on the bench will do for him. Maybe rejuvenate him, maybe deteriorate him even further. Unfortunately it doesn't look like he's ever going to be at his Liverpool Prime, at least not with Chelsea.

I don't see Chelsea winning the Europa League because we're (unfortunately) not going to take it seriously... and because Ba won't be able to play in the Europa League this season.

Torres going through an Existential Crisis isn't helping either.

I'm also surprised Abramovich hasn't tried buying a big name yet.

I think after this night Benitez would be crazy to even consider starting Torres for the next 3 or 4 games...

Ba came so close on two occasions... If he would have started I have a feeling we would have at least gotten something out of this game.

2 horrible mistakes from Ivanovic = 2 goals for Swansea. One abysmal performance from Torres = No goals from Chelsea.

Why did Torres even start? He was completely anonymous. Ba came closer to scoring in 10 minutes than Torres did in 80.

I agree. Casillas and Ramos deserve their spots, but I feel Ashley Cole should have been in. Definitely not Pique...

Sadly, I think Ba is right. We need more depth in our squad. When some of our most important players (AKA Mata and Hazard) are benched for a rest, we look like a chicken running around without a head (QPR game, anyone?).

Also this season is more of a transition period, so integrating the old with the new hasn't always been the easiest. We went from relying on Drogba magic to actually playing fluid attacking football in the matter of a couple months.
