Honestly think it could be the same final as last year. Would like to think United could get to at least the semis but our defending will have to improve significantly.
We look very shaky in defence tonight. Vidic clearly isn't match fit and Carrick isn't strong enough to play there, which was there for all to see when Fellaini out-muscled him for the goal. Rooney and Nani were also poor by their standards, Kagawa looked sharp though and De Gea saved us a few times in the first half. All in all not a great performance, half the team looked like they were still on holiday.
Berbatov will be on his way, I imagine Macheda will also leave after signing Henrique.
This was before they sold Fabregas and Nasri without replacing them.
Massive statement of intent from United, never really believed it was going to happen until now.
This will sound extremely biased coming from a Man United fan but Kagawa has to be one to watch. Depending on how quickly he settles into the Premier League, he could be the signing of the season.
Fair play to him for wanting more regular first team football. He's still got bags of energy and will be a real asset to QPR.
He works hard for the team but that's all he does. We already have plenty of that type of player and not enough flair. He's been a great servant for us but he needs to move on in my opinion.
More like they couldn't afford it. To spend so much money last summer and achieve virtually nothing will hit your finances hard. Don't expect a busy summer.
But not two years ago when England lost out.
Doubtful considering their interest in Hulk.
I see your point but we rely too heavily on Rooney for goals. If we had another out in out goalscorer in our side we could afford to rest Rooney more. Having said that, signing Kagawa means we will probably play with only one striker anyway next season.
Can't see Spurs accepting £25 million when they rejected £40 million from Chelsea only a year ago. It will be difficult for them to keep hold of Modric though without Champions League football for a second year running.
Results wise England deserve to be where they are, but not because of their brand of football.
Depends on how quickly he can adapt to the English game. He's exactly the sort of player we've been missing, we rely too heavily on our wingers for creativity.
Surprised we were able to get him at such a good price without much competition. You get the feeling that they probably had a deal agreed months ago. Just the sort of player we need.
He won't pass his medical, they won't be able to fit his big head through the door.
How Downing, Glen Johnson, Carroll and Milner made it into the squad is beyond me. How about Adam Johnson, Richards, Crouch and Carrick instead?
Well it was either him or Terry, despite the fact that Terry is the problem. Never mind, he can concentrate on seeing out his career at United.
Why bother ranking players after 2 games in the first place? There's players on that list that haven't even played yet!
