United States midfielder Stuart Holden signed a new contract with Bolton on Thursday that will keep the 25-year-old with the English Premier League club through the 2012-13 season.
Holden joined Bolton in January from the Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer and was limited to three appearances due to a fractured leg.
