Chelsea's busy treatment room has forced Carlo Ancelotti to perform a U-turn on his assertion that the days of sending John Terry into battle carrying an injury are over.
After Terry missed England’s qualifiers against Switzerland and Bulgaria last month with a hamstring complaint, only to then turn out for Chelsea against West Ham, Ancelotti insisted: ‘He (Terry) needs to have more rest if he wants to stay at the top level for a long time, and I don’t like a player who wants to play with injuries or when he’s not 100per cent.
