Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted his regret in selling Ryan Shawcross ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash at Stoke.
Shawcross will skipper Stoke against his former club at the Britannia Stadium but he could well have been starting for the opposition had Ferguson not agreed to sell him in 2008.
Shawcross had impressed on loan for the Potters but decided to make the move permanent due to the competition for places at Old Trafford.
Ferguson doesnt regret that much I guess. United has hundreds of players in their spotline all the time. Some times you let a player go, and some years later he turned out better than you taught. Normal.

Yup every club does that lets player go and they become great example is Barca they selled players like Fabregas now they want him back
Yup what a waste, Fabregas was a good example
I think Fergie will be more regretful that he sold Pique, never got a game at United and now he's one of the world's best defenders at Barca.
