PFA chief Gordon Taylor wants club captains to be given boardroom roles in order to try and improve the link between players and hierarchies.
Taylor believes that the addition of senior players in the decision-making centres of their clubs would be an innovative way to enable players to better understand what happens behind the scenes.
In what Taylor sees as a potentially invaluable role, the selected player would be well-placed to inform their team-mates about off-field matters.
"I would like to see players [club captains] on the main board of clubs," Taylor said in an interview with FC Business magazine.
I like the idea.
I am not sure if that would be a good idea in evry club, but the idea of taking the players behind the glory might be good.
Then they see that its not only receving benefits- its a company with incomes and outcomes.
Might be good to prevent the culture of gready footballers!
