Portuguese ambassador for the Iberian World Cup 2018 bid, Luis Figo, has said that he believes that the tournament being hosted in the region would hold a global appeal.
The former Barcelona and Real Madrid winger was speaking in an interview with FIFA.com, during which he added that it has been an honour for him to be involved in the logistics of Spain and Portugal’s joint bid to host the event in eight years time.
