Just to clear up the debate. I just want to say that Arsenal does not have a good youth academy. A "youth player" is a player who played in the lower ranks of the team (Barca Juvenil A, Barca Juvenil B) NOT a 16 year old promising talent who was brought to play in the first team straightaway. For example, Fabregas, Wilshere, etc etc (Other Arsenal FC talents).

So, Samuel Eto'o in his own right, CANNOT be called a Real Madrid "Youth Academy Player" because he was brought to play in the first team and thus, he didn't play in the lower ranks.

B team players are also not considered "Academy Players".

Wait you saying that a 16 years old is allow to play as the first 11? WTF? Btw Bayern munich should be there not Liverpool all the player that from their youth are old, the list is pretty meh, Ajax should be #1

Ajax is number one! Barca did it only when Johan Cruyff was there and Johan Cruyff is a Ajax-adept!

We have so many great players produced wich comes from the Ajax youth: Johan Cruyff, Marco van Basten, Frank Rijkaard, Dennis Bergkamp, Van der Sar, Edgar Davids, Patrick Kluivert, Frank and Ronald de Boer, Micheal Reiziger, Clarence Seedorf, Marc Overmars, Ryan Babel, Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart, André Ooijer, John Heitinga, Nigel de Jong, Thomas Vermaelen, Maarten Stekelenburg, Siem de Jong, Urby Emanuelson, Gregory van der Wiel, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, and many more!

And so many more to come!

Christian Eriksen, Daley Blind, Florian Josefzoon, Roly Bonevacia, Aras Özbiliz, Lorenzo Ebecilio, Rodney Sneijder, Jody Lukoki..

The problem only is, we cant hold these players as topclubs as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, etc.. buy these great players.. :(

MasterGuru is completly right on this one. How come not agree? Dont you guys understand what a youth academy is? Or didnt you read properly what he wrote.

@RedDevils

What I mean is, Fabregas was brought to play in the darn first team. First team doesn't necessarily mean he is in the starting XI. It could mean that he was first a bench player or a reserve team player or even play for the second team (Barca B, Arsenal B, Manchester United B, Liverpool B) but he definitely didn't play under the youth academy thus earning him the "youth academy player" title.

Do you get what I mean? Maybe you should read it more carefully.

@TheHunter

I agree. Ajax academy is very good and undoubtedly the best in the world.

Lol I did read, so that still doesn't make sense, that like saying Messi is not Barca youth, Eto'o is Real Madrid youth, they bought him as potential 16 year old which mean he still consider as one of their product
