Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has been ruled out of next week’s crunch clash with Chelsea.
The England captain has failed to recover from a calf injury picked up in the warm-up against Wolves on February 5.
Fellow centre-back Jonny Evans is also out with an ankle problem meaning Chris Smalling will again deputise for the league leaders.
