Struggling Sampdoria are reviewing the future of embattled coach Mimmo Di Carlo after the "bitter and devastating" home loss to Cesena.
Angry fans jeered and raised banners urging Di Carlo to quit after the defeat on Sunday.
"This is a bitter and devastating day," director of sport Doriano Tosi said.
"Even with a pessimistic outlook, nobody expected a game like this."
