Birmingham City have accepted a Football Association charge of failing to ensure spectators did not enter the field of play following the Carling Cup quarter-final against Aston Villa at St Andrew's on 1 December.
The club were charged after fans entered the pitch to celebrate the 2-1 win over their rivals before goading Villa fans in front of the away fans' section. Blues, who went on to win the competition, have accepted the charge and will have an FA hearing scheduled for 28 March.
A club statement read: "The club continues its close work with the police with a view to identifying those responsible for threatening to tarnish the reputation of the club and Birmingham City's image.
