Schalke managing director Horst Heldt has challenged defending Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich to follow up their interest in goalkeeper Manuel Neuer after the Germany number one announced that he would not renew his contract with the Royal Blues.
Heldt, who moved to Gelsenkirchen from Stuttgart last summer, was speaking to Liga Total! after Schalke's 1-0 home defeat to Kaiserslautern in the Veltins Arena.
