With a disastrous end to the 2010-11 season, Arsenal fans were hugely disappointed with their club's performance and there has been a lot of negative reactions in the summer from the fans who desperately want to see the club lifting a trophy. Though there are a number of areas on which the Gunners should improve in order to win trophies successfully, they did show that they had the quality to match the top sides in this season unlike recent seasons.
No it doesn't prove anything. Beating Barcelona in the final of the champions league is a completely different proposition than beating them at home in the first leg of a two leg tie. Arsenal are one of the best teams at bottling it on the big occasion. Fabregas even admitted that they were scared of Man Utd in their away match this season. If Arsenal want to win trophies they need a manager who can instill some self belief in his players.
