Doesn't work. First off there is no such version as 14371. The newest version is 1511. When i go into the windows activation panel it just says "Windows 10 on this device is activated with a digital entitlement" I have always been logging in through my Microsoft account and when i sign into the devices page of the Microsoft site, it shows this system as having been connected, but without a product key displayed.
The Microsoft sites help page also has no mention of this supposed change. It still says that if you have a free upgrade from windows 7 or 8, there is no way to reactivate manually after making major hardware changes. You have to contact MS customer support.
Thanks a lot. Bookmarked your article for future reference !!

Anyone who has a Retail version of a previous windows and went for the upgrade, the licence carries over to W10 anyway so you can install as much as you want after hardware changes.
