I think Sony has been on a real bad streak in the past few years. They screwed up the Spider-Man reboot, needing for it to be rebooted again. They made The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and now they want to reboot it again with a new cast even though they spent millions on scripting a sequel originally. I think when it came to Ghostbusters, they were just grasping at straws at the time and would take just about anything.
