Never know, Arsenal would defo be in with a chance if they meet Bayern in the knock-outs again.

Despite being out from the first leg, a 2-0 win against a full strength Bayern in the Allianz means they'd have no fear, especially with their strengthened squad this year.

Considering that he has only ever won Europe with underdog sides, then a surprise move to Arsenal wouldn't shock me!

Actually I think a spell with Arsene Wenger (if he's still at Arsenal come summer) would do him some good. He helped rejuvenate Henry & turn him into a world class player after he flopped at Juve.

Maybe he could do the same for Torres? God knows Arsenal need a striker who can actually score!

Neymar is the most unproven, overrated player on the planet. The closest thing to top-tier football he's played, was when his team Santos were hockeyed 4-0 by Barca in the the World Club Final. Hell even Brazil's standards have dropped since he started playing international football.

Ah, don't we all Ozil. Don't we all...

But good look surpassing Messi, Ronaldo, RVP & Iniesta!

The Glaziers aren't a charity; why would they give up a sizeable percentage of their profits to spend on a player, when United are doing just fine without him?

Some of Arsenal's best players in the EPL era (Henry, Vieira, Sagna, Pires & Nasri come to mind)were products of the French League, br'ah.

Celtic vs Juve 2001 was one of the all-time classic Champions League matches which Celtic ended up winning 4-3; Trezegue, Del Piero, Davids, Larrson, Lennon... What a game (pity the away fixture ended up 3-2, after some dubious decisions by the ref in favour of the Italians, and in-turn Celtic just missed qualifaction out of their group)!

Come'n d Hoops, time to get some revenge!

Torre's goalscoring ability seems to have gone to muck, but his workrate around the pitch is still something to admire.

You've got to feel for the guy, he's not laughing to bank pulling a Robinho or Adebayor whilst his talent goes to waste; his lack of confidence really seems to be taking it's toll on him.

And if Chelsea don't want him, then I'm sure Wenger would happily take him onboard. He helped inspire Henry to become one of the ...

This is the same side that nearly beat Barca in the Nou Camp a few weeks ago, so they should have no excuse to be 'stunned' by this result.

And if they are, then they have no one else but themselves to blame for underestimating the Hoops, on a wet November night in Glasgow, in front of 60,000 riled up Celtic fans!

@buddymagoo:

GTFO, an United supporter complaining about refereeing decisions going the way of the bigger club; talk about hypocrisy.

What are you even doing commenting on an Arsenal v Reading match? The only thing you should have to say that it was a cracking match, in which both teams played great footie.

The funny thing is that if average Joe happens to get severely assaulted by a drunken lout on any given weekend, the assaulter probably won't get anything more than a slap on the wrist & a night in the cell.

Double standards piss me off.

Well considering that Denmark have actually won a Euro before (in 92), and they topped their group in qualification (ahead of Portugal), I'm pretty sure that they feel no insecurities when their team plays against the likes of Ronaldo!

This Irish team have played very poorly in the tournament, but don't forget that in qualifying for the Euros, they went to Moscow (against a full strength Russia team), defended superbly and got a draw. Also this is practically the same team that lost out on a place in the 2010 World Cup due to a Thierry Henry handball.

For a country of 4.5 million people, where football is a minority sport (when compared to the national games), they haven't done half bad.

'Hazard has probably gone their for the money'

You are talking about the same Chelsea that have won 3 EPL's, 4 FA Cups & a Champions League in the last 7 seasons? I'm pretty sure money wasn't the only factor he took into consideration, when he signed for the European champions.

'i don't see Hazard playing much'

He is extremely versatile & can not only cover the central mid, but also out wide as well.

Well with a squad that has included the likes of Tevez, Silva, Kompany, de Jong, Joe Hart, Yaya & Kolo Toure & investments running into the hundreds of millions for the past few seasons; they only managed a last season managed a 3rd place finish in the league last year, 3 points ahead of Arsenal.

And yet Arsenal; after losing the likes of Fabergas, Nasri & Clichy last summer, are in line to finish 3rd this season. After not only beating Man City a few weeks ago, b...

Man City hadn't won a trophy in 35 years before last years FA Cup. And look at them now.

Arsenal have a lot of quality in their squad, they just need to splash the cash on 1 or 2 experienced players who know how to 'win ugly' (like Podalski), and they have the potential to be a trophy winning side.

Ok, so lets get this straight; Fergie is complaining that professional players who earn anywhere upwards of 50k a week during their 2 months of Summer holidays, should not take 2 weeks out, once every 4 years, to represent their country.

I respect his managerial abilities, but he is a fucking mouthpiece that should learn to shut the f*ck up.
