Even though im not a Chelsea fan i would have to agree with you on that. Drogba was more influential for his club and fairly so for his country during the African cup of nations then Messi was. But more defenders, goalkeepers and midfielders need to be recognized for their efforts to. Fifa really need to change their nomination system to make it more fair.

I don't know if Chelsea's situation can be improved some of the best managers in the world have coached there and little by little they've all been sacked. The only way i see Chelsea's situation improving is if Abramovich leaves or he finally wises up and gives his appointed managers more time.
I was wondering does man city's early exit highlight the inferiority of the EPL. Im not saying the EPL isn't great on the contrary, but man city as EPL champions and are top of the ELP currently (with no losses) but did finish last in a group packed with top domestic champions. So in comparison to the rest does this show the other leagues are better?? just asking

Both of these players are exceptional good and desrve to win it but i do feel both Pirlo and Xavi should be really considered for the cup also. Both are strong candidates, Pirlo for his efforts in the Euros and Xavi for his efforts throughout the years (and not winning it back in 2009/10)with his great work ethic.
Match was great hard to pick a man of the match in this one as there was so many. Marcelo, modric, toure and hart were great for their respective teams. It just seems Ronaldo goals cant be stopped even if their shot directly at the keeper

I would have to agree with Nes_Daze on this one iniesta is the best in Europe he has won everything in football The World cup, European cup 2x, champions league 3x and several la ligas'(need i go on). And even though he has won all this you still thing he should take a backseat to messi and ronaldo... no way.

Im still not convinced about van persie i think that 24 mil should of been used elsewhere probably on a good central defender and holding midfielder. Hope Alexander Büttner can help with the problems at back.
If it is true that's great news considering he's still young and has some time to improve. Although i would of preferred another left back and defensive midfielder for the team but oh well.

true after seeing oscar in action he could be a great signing for chelsea. What i initial meant was the central midfield area, but hazard could be great in midfield.
