They didn't even get a single shot on goal and were eliminated..

You're playing the damn semi final of the Champions League and you need to score. RIsks have to be taken. It was one of the most pathetic displays I've ever seen from a semi finalist and even many City fans felt embarrassed. I've never witnessed such easy route to the final that Real had this season.

They already have Valdes on the bench but they would need to find someone for the future..

Yeah. I got to admit, I also didn't see the offside until the final replay.. got to give massive credit to the linesman for spotting it.

Offsides?

Sure but Ronaldo was... The linesman got it spot on.

Yeah, only money makes good teams and that's the reason Real beat Atletico last saturday.. OH wait they didn't, they lost 4-0!

"If you know about football" you know that money isn't everything and spanish teams have been the most successful teams in Europa and Champions league in the last 10 years... Joke? where?

By that logic headbutting is part of the game too and we should just "accept it". Laughable thought..

I can't argue against the fact that he can be a fairly good defender but he's also been a massive cunt too many times for me to get him any praise..

Many Madrid fans are also getting really tired of his shite because head butting like in the WC can get the whole team in trouble and calling someone a monkey+spitting on them is very disgraceful. I'm sorry but I can't understand people who still like him after all he's done.. It's all on film, even the sp...

Pepe called Keita "a monkey" in the Barca years and now he refused to shake his hand because of it. Pepe reportedly spat on Keita in this match and that's the reason he threw the bottle...

Well he is not a winger anymore.. Guardiola moved him to the center so he could be more involved in the game and as he didn't have to run so much anymore, he could last the whole season. While 6.5km is low even for his standards there is clearly something wrong in the team at the moment. It's not just Messi.

I think it's just a stupid idea to "force play" Messi as a winger if he doesn't want to play there. You don't force Ronaldo or Ribery to pla...

Referees have hard time seeing every dive since they only have that one fast look of the situation. But I think post match sanctions would slowly start to cure this disease we have. I can't believe it hasn't been even tested yet. Some people will take advantage of things if there is no sanctions :S

@Nes_Daze

Yup. The team has one of the highest possession % in the world. This equals fouls and cards since the opposition gets frustrated and has to make extra amount of challenges...

There are suspicious calls everywhere. No one remembers 2010 Barca-Inter. No one even remembers Real vs Elche THIS season...

If people actually watched the Chelsea games that happened 2009 they could see both teams were badly refereed. There are still videos ...

@Scrivlar

Still complaining about the clasico? I must say that those situations should be changed to a yellow+penalty but while these rules stand they will be red+penalty. And it's not like Real hasn't had any help from the referee this season. For example the first Elche game, both Real goals came from referee being wrong. It's BS for all of us.

Maybe Ramos should consider getting rid of those clumsy challenges instead of complaining about the re...

Way off topic: I ran out of bubbles in the goal line technology comment section so I'll answer to your last comment here ;D

First of all England didn't lose 4-0, Lampards goal would've been an 2-2 equaliser so it would've definitely been a damn important goal for England and probably changed the match. Euro 2012: Ukraine scored 1-1 equaliser against England that was disallowed. Ukraine lost 1-0 and was left out of the last 8.

You still keep ta...

@KingPin

That doesn't make any sense. Those other camera checks would most definitely break the flow of the game. Ice hockey has had the goal check for ages but hasn't pushed any other technologies. Why would football suddenly do it. I'm not asking for any other kind of cameras but situations like the Lampard goal in WC 2010 need to be right calls...

Probably the cost... Some smaller teams must think it's too expensive.

3683d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Like 2pacalypsenow said the one goal could be the most important.

The "human error is part of the game" is complete BS in my opinion. Why are you bringing other cameras up. People are not asking everything to be checked, just goals that are the most important thing in the game. The match doesn't even have to be stopped since the referee gets a sign to his watch that tells if the ball went in.

There is NO downsides from goal line technology besi...

Spot on. It's obvious that they need few new defenders for example but the players they already have should be more than capable of producing football on much higher level than we are witnessing now.

I'm sure it will get better after some time but at what cost...

@higgins78

It just so happens that last defenders seem to take out players from goal scoring situations in those games. It's stupid to say there is some kind of conspiracy if the fouls are there, it's referee doing his duty... Ronaldo gets penalty when the foul was outside the box, how do explain that then?

And Messi has scored very regularly for Argentina. You seem to be one of those, who only watched the WC 2010 and think he doesn't play well.
