Torres had came off of a bad injury if I remember and was struggling a bit for Liverpool before the Chelsea move. I didn't have the chance to watch Real Madrid play back when Owen moved but regardless, Suarez is on another level to both Torres and Owen, he's going to be fine. Similar story with Bale last season and look at him now.
I dont know about Suarez being at another level but Torres never had that bad of an injury he simply had a minor surgery for a cartilage which is not that bad considering he was getting PT for his injury. The problem with Torres is simply his confidence, as you can see him with Atleti, it seems like he was just tired of playing away from home and all he needed was go back to a team he wanted to. Suarez will score, but the thing is, is that Luis Enrique likes to play him on the wing and not as a striker.
