ESPNsoccernet understands Fabio Capello has not yet closed the door on David Beckham's international career and the midfielder could win a recall if he moves to Europe in a loan deal in January.
While Capello is focused on bringing through young players following a poor World Cup in South Africa, and on Saturday is expected to include the likes of Jack Wilshere, Andy Carroll, Jordan Henderson and Phil Jones in his squad to face France next week, he has not precluded an unlikely return for Beckham in the future.
The LA Galaxy midfielder won the last of his 115 caps against Belarus in October 2009 and appeared to have been cast into the international wilderness when, prior to a friendly against Hungary three months ago, Capello said he was "too old" to be considered.
