I agree and this is how football should be. I love football but im also a Massive Rugby and Ice Hockey fan and in both them sports we can drink in the stands and supports form all sorts of teams sit next to each other and they mock each other but in a good way as well as sing together.
This is what sport should be about not fighting. Its sad that Ireland are out now but I hope they can get a win in there last game for the fans
Our fans are the best in the world, 4-0 down and they never stopped! Team wise, we were humbled by players whose level most of our players have never played against. We need to bring in the young lads into midfield next campaign. McCarthy, Coleman, Houlihan, McClean, Fahey. We need to field the best players we have every game and ditch the loyalty attitude.
This was a rather 1 sided game & finally Torres started and got 2 Goals, if they had let him stay on the field longer, he might have gotten the 3rd one.
It was fun to see the stupid spanish players blush.
I wish they would tackle even harder like they did with the croatians.
Football in Great Britian is much more entertaining than the teenage girl style in southern Europe.
Too bad they don`t practice passing at all in Ireland.
But irish football and scottish football needs to change, i mean in scottish league is only between two teams and that is stupid.
England aint that great either, been stuck with too many of the same old players year in year out. I'm glad classy players are coming through like chamberlain.
I wouldn't say torres is back, poor irish defence and some poor goalkeeping mistakes. Spain will not run riot over bigger teams.
This Irish team have played very poorly in the tournament, but don't forget that in qualifying for the Euros, they went to Moscow (against a full strength Russia team), defended superbly and got a draw. Also this is practically the same team that lost out on a place in the 2010 World Cup due to a Thierry Henry handball.
For a country of 4.5 million people, where football is a minority sport (when compared to the national games), they haven't done half bad.
