Hmmm classic thicko, why don't you look a bit deeper into it. Ba will be on 100k at the very least, will be going to the African nations, and is 27 whilst sturridge will be on around 60k and is 23. Classic fail indeed.
Nobody would have Sturridge over Ba if they had sense. Ba's hitrate over his career for inferior clubs is superb. Precisely a goal every other game in fact! Take a look at his hugely impressive goalscoring record.
His career hitrate so far is right up there with the very best strikers ever seen in the Premier League (Shearer, Henry, Cole etc) He'll only be better with Chelsea's attacking talent.
Anyone outside of Liverpool can look and see that Chelsea will have come out miles on top in the deal. Who cares if Sturridge is 4 years younger? Gervinho is 4 years younger than Van Persie, but I know who I would rather have in my side.
The 5m Chelsea gained go towards his contract anyway, Chelsea get a better player for not a lot of money.
Sturridge is almost certainly on at least £70k a week at Liverpool, (apparently his agents demanded 80k....) because Liverpool overpay players as well. Jordan Henderson and Downing are on 70k a week! LOL.
70k a week, and lets just say 100k a week as you claim for Ba. Thats 1.56 million pounds a year difference. Meaning the 5m Chelsea gain pays for virtually all the difference over the life of a Sturridge's 3 and half year contract....
I want to know how do Liverpool supporters see this signing. IMO opinion it could be at least a decent one, at least better than the Carrol signing and other decisions that were made by both Dalglish and Rodgers.
Good signing if you ask me. Maybe a little too high of a price but he was one of chelseas best players under di matteo, just never got the chance. Liverpool create so many chances, I would expect him to do well there.
Intriguing...will be odd seeing him in a Liverpool kit.
Ignore this comment. 11x2 gave me an error saying something went wrong and my comment didn't show.

It'll be interesting to see how he does with Liverpool.
