BR - Shinji Kagawa is a top-class footballer and Manchester United are a world-class team, but the question remains: Can these two bring the best out of each other?
Kagawa was one of Borussia Dortmund's most vital players in their back to back Bundesliga title victories, after he arrived from Japanese club side Cerezo Osaka for a meagre £350k. He formed an integral part of Jurgan Klopp's all conquering side, playing in the No.10 role behind Polish centre-forward Robert Lewandowski.
its too early to say anything on Kagawa's United career he has shown he has talent but is still adapting to the Premiership and United's style of football.
also Dortmund built their team around players like him while United havnt so will take time it wasnt untill Silva's 2nd season that he trully started to show what he could do.
As a Leeds supporter who really likes Kagawa as a player, I hope that Manchester United is not the right destination for him in the end. I hope he does well but would rather he moved to a club where they could make full use of him.
Give him some months... He will shine!
Brought in for shirt sales.
I thought the english media were creaming all over him during the summer - "OMGZ! Signing of the season....." and whatnot.
