Real and the time wasting was pitiful in the end. Also Mourinho gets up and screams ONCE he gets sent off, Simeone screams the whole game and doesnt even get a talking too.
I think it seems a lot of people here need to really wake up to what they are saying.
"Trolling" appears to mean "Daring to congratulate winning teams on their cup victories!" according to several rather pitiful users.
If my initial comment above is seen by the reader as trolling, then it is their attitude to the comment that desperately needs correcting.
The comment is what it is, congratulations Atletico.
One must suspect these allegations against me wouldn't even exist if Real Madrid had won it and I had just interchanged the “Atletico” for “Real”.
If you can't take a straightforward comment like that without breaking out the totally unjustified troll card, I suggest you don't come on a site like this. Ridiculous claims that show you up and disgusting if you believe that I should lose bubbles for that comment.
First time Atlético have beaten Real in a competitive match since 1999 season and the first time Madrid has lost a major cup final since 2003-04 Copa del Rey final against Real Zaragoza.
For people saying Madrid has had a trophy-less season, they won the Supercopa against Barca.
Additionally, to people being surprised they haven't won a major trophy this year shouldn't be. Big teams don't deserve titles, they need to win them.
Having said that, Mourinho's ridiculous decisions this season have annoyed anyone involved or interested in Madrid. It seems the team is passionless under his management & probably not willing to play for him any more.
We haven't had a natural RB sub for years, using Lass then Essien as RB when they're CM/CDM was and still is stupid - Lass handed in a transfer request because of this (was a quality player for us). Mourinho didn't purchase big names either, he sold midfielders and bought midfielders. Finally, dropping Casillas has turned the team, club and Spanish media against him.
Furthermore - Madrid has had 3 true trophy-less seasons in the last decade; 2004-05 and 2005-06 in the last Galácticos seasons and 2009–10 in the 1st season of the 2nd spell of Galácticos under Perez.
Also, Mourinho's 1st trophy-less season since Porto was with Chelsea in 2007–08. Chelsea were runners-up in the Community Shield and Mourinho departed shortly after.
unlucky RM. hit the bar 3 times. it just wasnt their night. on any other day, they wouldve finished those chances. AM keeper had an amazing match. the ref on the other hand was completely and utterly useless. how the players refrained from hitting him is beyond me.
Caught the last 20mins and ET I haven't seen so much diving and bad officiating all season in the Premier League, not to mention the cheating (Real trying to claim a handball/penalty when it hit the guys knee), mardiness (Ronaldo kicking out at someones face) and general mob mentality from both benches, oh and the fans throwing things.
*3 trohpies Trophies dont always do justice to performances, plus Football is a collective sport, one-man can'T do it all by himself(even if it sometimes looks like he can win a match by himself lol).
The fact is he got better since leaving Manchester United. I'm not saying that it's because Madrid is a better club(far from it, United being more ''united''), but Ronaldo is at his prime in my opinion right now, having enough exprience and perfect physical conditions(not too old yet :P).
@ninjagoat - No, he's talking about Real Madrid "getting what they deserve" because, apparently, it's Real's fault that the referee made a poor decision in their match with United.
This is an article about Real vs Atletico. This is not even a CL match article, much less a United vs Real article. There was no need to bring in United. And yes, it IS a butthurt attitude that he(and maybe you) should move on from.
I thought the ref handled it well really, I mean why blame him when there was diving, kicking, appealing for handballs when there were none, harassing him even when he made the right decision, disgusting behaviour from Real IMO. I think one time the linesman correctly awarded Athletico a throw in and the whole Real bench practically ran onto the pitch :/ Pathetic and I'm glad they lost. Courtious had an amazing game and Falcao's assist was something special
He was too keen to give free kicks in my opinion, when you give a foul each time a player flops onto the floor pretending to be fouled it just encourages more diving. If he had been stronger and waved play on more the players would have been less inclined to dive around all the time.
That was such a crazy game! The ref was unjust towards Madrid though.
Wonderful win for Atletico, truly superb congratulations!
Thanks for nothing Jose.
Lol sh*t ref is sh*t.
Season is officially a failure, no trophies. Nice. Congrats to the Atletico keeper, top form. The rest utter garbage.
