3 goals at etihad, not bad. Imagine if our defence were solid. I only care about Koscielny's injury, he's vital to our team and we need him back fit as soon as possible. Vermaelen's just not good enough.
You would never see this in the Bundesliga, or La Liga, always dominant teams year in-year out. The "smaller" clubs just don't have what it takes to beat the leaders, whereas we've just seen City smash Arsenal and recently beaten Bayern with half a team, 2 months ago they lost to Cardiff? Just ranting now, you get my beef.
City losing to Cardiff doesn't mean Cardiff is a good team though right?? City has spent A LOT of money, I'm sure if Malaga or Valencia had that kind of money maybe they'd be as good, or actually even better considering they come up with great young talent. Last season malaga gave Dortmund a struggle in the quarterfinals... strongest league, I'm not really sure, but definetly more competitive.
People need to learn the difference between strongest and most competitive, the premier league is and has been the most competitive for a long time but if you matched all of La Liga's teams vs ours by position then I think La Liga would be ahead by around 3-5 matches, it's not much and the gap is closing because of teams like Southampton that can spend big but Spain definitely has more quality players and teams atm. Now Germany has a woeful league but two of the best teams in the world.
My prediction for the end of the season: City Arsenal Liverpool Man Utd Chelsea
They have only 2 quality teams in the world. All the other teams as soon as they get a decent player they go to the premier league lately. That shows its power and thus makes it stronger.
3, Athletico. Either way I know you're saying Madrid, Barca and Athletico vs Man Utd, City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs. Didn't Bale leave, Ronaldo, Fabregas, Mascherano, Alonso, Suarez maybe? But in terms of pulling power yes the premier league wins because of the money they can offer, no one bar Madrid and Barca can manage the wages that even the lower premier league teams offer. Nonetheless in terms of players and teams, the quality of Spain is higher, that's my opinion. I'm not saying it's a massive difference but La Liga is ahead. The premier league is more interesting, fairer and more competitive but the quality sometimes can be severely lacking.
Well that changes things!
Great game. Walcott scored a beauty too.
What a week for city, taking down two great teams...
What a game. Thought there was some harsh decisions by the ref though.
