I don't remember many people on this site saying it is the best league in the world. It is certainly the most competitive though, and that makes it more exciting.
Not at all, just look at last weeks' posts with Arsenal and Man City. People still delusional about English football. Both Germany and Spain are lightyears ahead.
Premier League isn't the best league. Premier League doesn't have the best teams. Something I've been saying for 4 years here.
@RGB, read my comment again. It isn't the best league in the world, but saying it isn't the most exciting is laughable. In Spain, the clubs below the top 3 are useless, top 2 in Italy and top 2 in Germany. You equate best with one or two teams in other leagues being better than the top teams in England. Having the best teams doesn't equate to a more exciting, more competitive league.
I knew from the start that putting Moyes in charge was a huge mistake but I didn't count on him being this bad. He has no tactics, vision or philosophy, it seems he thinks he has good players and therefore they should win. Long balls, pathetic to watch tbh. Great goals though from Olympiakos, apparently haven't lost at home for 5 years (dunno if that's true or not haven't bothered to check it up)
It's getting to the stage where I feel sorry for Man Utd fans, having to watch Young, Cleverely and Valencia on the same pitch is surely against Geneva conventions. It definitely constitutes a form of torture, I don't even support Man Utd but they are very frustrating to watch!
"It's getting to the stage where I feel sorry for Man Utd fans" - not at all. It's not even a year since Moyes was put in charge and they have had many years of gloating to everyone else. The Utd fans on this site have gone mighty quiet this year.
Haha true, but then honestly every club has fans that chat absolute poo not just Man Utd fans, the worst ones I know tend to be Spurs fans for whatever bizarre reason. I'm kinda lucky in that my circle of friends and family are level headed (well at least for glory hunters) and they never really boasted or gloated much so I guess I feel for them a little but Moyes' face is hilarious tbf.
you have no idea how tough it is watching a united game week after week watching their wretched performances. even their best performance this season is nothing special.
moyes certainly isnt 100% to blame but everyone at the club should be held responsible. coaches to players. not to mention moyes isnt his confident self either and its like his trying to impress someone or trying to impersonate SAF and is certainly not the same coach everton had.
well i suppose every team has their slump, its time for united now. nobody can stay on top all the time. liverpool fans know what im talking about.
He's not 100% to blame obviously but no one told him to change the entire back room staff, he inherited the champions and they gained Fletcher back from injury, Fellaini and Zaha! Simply put if someone like Mourinho was in charge this team would be challenging for the title. Ultimately a team, a club as big as Utd should never have appointed someone like Moyes. A pertinent point from a recent Tim Howard interview Q: What is the main difference between Martinez and Moyes? A: For the first time we are focusing on what we can do and not about the opposition, there is no fearing upcoming fixtures "We'll train on trying to exploit them, as opposed to 'Here is what they are going to do to hurt us and this is what we are going to do to defend against them'. That is not in the manager's nature.
Moyes is too negative a manager, something reflected in his stat of never having won away at a top 4 club in 10 years of management
united played totally pathetic. end of story. they were absolutely dominated in most/all parts of the field. no tactics whatsoever. unless you call blasting into the box and praying a tactic. the wingers (valencia & young) were hopeless to say the least. not that the midfield were any better either.
the better team won the game. end of story.
moyes and team better find something special if they plan to progress but it would be a complete injustice if they do. with the quality (or lack of) they showed, they dont deserve to be in the quarter finals.
Worst I've seen United in Europe for the best part off ten years. Even the other year when where where dropped down to the Europa we had more fight than this pathetic.
Many times we wasted that ball give it away in mid field playing the long ball from the back? playing the ball square no forward push at all. Felt like going to sleep watching them.
I love United threw and threw but atm this team needs a serious shake up. Team selection last night was horrible. I won't get into the who should have been there's etc whats done is done but its a management decision again that's cost us.
Well deserved. IMO with the amount of terrible players Manchester United currently have, they don't even deserve to be in the knockout stage of the CL. It's becoming rather embarassing to watch and this laughable defeat just keeps making things worse.
I don't hate Manchester United by any means...but when this whole "downfall" thing started, I was a bit entertained and would chuckle occasionally when I saw the results. Now...I am starting to feel bad, this seems beyond a slump, there was zero motivation and drive on the player's faces. I also don't hate Moyes, but if they don't advance in the CL, I see no other option but to just fire him...this team needs a good kick in the butt to change things around.
Expected result, the team is really crumbling in terms of confidence, moyes needs to win some silverware or at the very least put united back in the top 4 for him to remain at the club IMO.
Saw this coming...
what a goal from campbell, what a screamer.

Roy Keane, enough said!
