At what point can we sack moyes??? Sloppy play, lack of energy. Clearly there is no body home to light a fire under these players... Plus who puts Cleverly and Fellaini out

asmith23063874d ago (Edited 3874d ago )

Utd are so bad at the moment and I can't see how they are going to get out of it.

- Fellani - waste of money.
- Mata - a shadow of his former self, not worth the transfer fee.
- Ferdinand - useless
- Evra - useless
- Cleverly - useless
- Raphael - useless
- Moyes - useless

How this club is supposed to attract top players and managers now is beyond me. Even harder now that they gave Rooney a 300k a week deal (not worth it either). They set a new benchmark for wage expectations and also, capitulation.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

United have go plan at the moment. The ship continues to sink with rivals like liverpool and City undressing them. With Moyes behind the wheel we are destine for a trap door.

At this point Moyes must go if united have any hope in righting this ship

Jonnyquest3213874d ago

Mata will come good if they change manager along with Rafael who was one of the best RB's in the league last year. But the rest of their team and manager is horrendous tbh, they simply aren't better than the top teams and even if they were they have a worse manager so would always get out thought and lose anyway. Moyes has to go, he never deserved this job

The Utd squad isnt as bad as pundits are making out to be. Rooney is still a top class STRIKER (not a no10!) - why else was Mourinho desperate for him?

Also De Gea, Mata, RVP - world class players. Adnan is one of most promising young players in the EPL right now.Rafael as noted was one of the best RBs last season - clearly moyes has destroyed his confidence much like everyone else in the team. The squad isnt as 'weak' as biased pundits who blindly support moyes are saying - certainly not as 'weak' as Everton's or Newcastle's.

He's had 2 transfer windows to address the weaknesses, but his lack of vision and strategy (much like lack of tactics on the pitch) means he has no clue who to sign.

Jonnyquest3213874d ago

Totally agree, while the squad isn't as good as Man City they are still better than is being made out by most pundits. Moyes is to blame

asmith23063874d ago

The squad is as bad as pundits, and everyone else, say. It's widely acknowledged that they won the league last year down to Fergie's brilliance and the woeful season the other contenders had by their standards.

xX_Altair_Xx3874d ago (Edited 3874d ago )

@ asmith2306

De Gea
Rafael Vidic Jones Evra
Carrick Fellaini
Mata Rooney Adnan
RVP

Howard
Baines Distin Jagielka Coleman
Osman Barry
Mirallas Barkley Deulofeu
Lukaku

Be honest - of the two squads above (without knowing which teams they are now), who would you bet on to finish higher? WHich one has more individual quality? You can run the same comparison with Liverpool and Aresenal and Utd's team just isnt as bad as youre making it out to be.

Also, Even without Fergie's brilliance, it's widely acknowledged that the team is top 4 quality - it takes a mediocre manager to somehow drop 7 places with this lot.

MadSientist893874d ago

was there any doubt that city would not win? ....

TheSaint3874d ago

It's funny how most UTD fans are losing the will to live because of a few bad results, welcome to football you plastic muppets.

asmith23063874d ago

I'm no Utd fan, but a few bad results?? Have you even seen the table? They are in 7th, 5 points behind Spurs who by all accounts have had a woeful season themselves given the players they brought in over the summer. If Everton win their game in hand Utd are 9 points off 5th. It doesn't get much worse than that for side who won the league last year.

KingPin3874d ago

its not that we losing the will to live.

we knew that united will have a dip with the new manager coming in especially following SAF, what is catching us all by surprise is how far down we falling. none of us expected this especially with league champions. you look at Barca with new coach, sitting 3rd. you look at bayern with new coach, 1st. you look at united with a new coach, 7th. can you see the reason for the outbursts yet?

not to mention asmith is on point with the points story as well. if united were in the top 4 ie 2nd/3rd/4th every united supporter would still be behind moyes even if we didn't win a single game against the big clubs. but this is just ridiculous.

some may be plastic fans, but for the die hard fans, we still expect the same high standards from manchester united which is greatly lacking this year.

something needs to change and soon otherwise manchester united will go the route of liverpool and will not see a premier league in 20+ years.

krazykombatant3874d ago

Not a fair comparison KingPin for United with the likes of Bayern and Barca.

Barca were undefeated most of 2013 and were playing great until 2014.

Actually, Tito has had the same number of W/T/L and points as pep did when he was in charge of Barca.

Additionally, Pep doesn't deserve much credit about bayern winning the bundesliga. That team was stacked and he just made sure they maintained their hunger.

ManUnited NEED Europa league to avoid a crash out on the levels of Liverpool after 2005

xX_Altair_Xx3874d ago

I dont buy this argument that the players arent good enough! All the pundits blame the players but not one of them even suggests that the manager may not be good enough.

We are talking about the champions here. There are weaknesses but not so much that they should fall from 1st to 7th (or lower). Everton's squad was put together for about as much as Mata (and they lost Fellaini) - are we to believe that they have a stronger squad than Utd? Clearly moyes is out of his depth - only Fergie and Charlton are keeping him from the sack.

Also admitting that Utd should aspire to be like City - why would a Utd manager say that?!

yezz3874d ago

Spot on. It's obvious that they need few new defenders for example but the players they already have should be more than capable of producing football on much higher level than we are witnessing now.

I'm sure it will get better after some time but at what cost...
