Yeah I agree even as a Man United fan out of the teams going for the league now ide like Liverpool to win it as the football they are playing at the moment is a joy to watch.
For years Liverpool has played terrible ugly boring football.
Now they've got Rodgers as a coach and some very good players, like Sterling, Sturridge Coutinho, plus 1 world-class player with Suarez, and they've been the most exciting team to watch this season, perhaps together with City.
To see a team come from so far, and play with such conviction and work rate, and play in a positive attacking attractive manner... yeah, then a lot of people, me included, will hope they go on and win it. It will be difficult, but I really hope they can do it.
I agree with you that they have been the best team to watch this year but I wouldn't say the played terrible ugly boring football in recent years, they might have had a bad year and a half but did Istanbul bore you? Fa cup final vs West Ham? Smashing Madrid and Man Utd in consecutive matches? 4-4 draws with Arsenal and Chelsea? Torres Gerrard Mascherano Alonso? p.s not a Liverpool fan
Yep. The narrative was Liverpool would fight to get into the top four. Most thought they would finish fifth. Even the most optimistic of fans could have never dreamed this...
I just care about watching GOOD attractive football, and I don't really care much about 'clubs', because every few year, there will be new players, a new manager, and usually a new way of playing.
When a team plays poor/boring football, even if they're winning, I don't really care much about that. They could become champions and I wouldn't care.
I watch football to be entertained. To watch great players. To watch a positive attacking attitude. And this season, a team like Liverpool has all of that.
