i know its been 12 years without any european cups but they have won some cups in the last 7 years (2007-2014). la liga in 07/08 and 11/12 copa del rey in 10/11 Supercopa de España (more like charity shield so dont think it qualifies but its silverware i suppose)in 2008 and 2012

To be honest, this couldn't have worked better for Bayern. Facing Madrid in a final would be very challenging, but over two legs, I feel that they're more consistent than Madrid. Facing such a strong defensive team like Chelsea over two legs, especially at the bridge, could've been a bit more challenging. I think even Madrid fans would agree that Madrid's defense can be very fragile at times, especially with German teams.
Only thing I would really want to see is Bayern against a really great offense. Like BBC. Bayern have shown that they have weaknesses too. And I think having a great offense might expose them a bit.
Of course, none of this matters is we play like we did against Dortmund in the second leg. I don't think it's German teams, our defense just had one of those days. Both of their goals came from our own mistakes. Other than that Casillas and the defense seemed to have their shots in check.
I think with the last 4 everyone's got an equal chance, Although I'm hearing Ronaldo wont be back for the first leg against Bayern which is a disaster for Madrid if the Dortmund game is anything to go by
