MLS: Already eliminated from World Cup contention, Cuba's night went from bad to worse on Friday when five players apparently defected ahead of the team's matchup against Canada at BMO Field.
Sad really, this is what communism does to a country, strips it of everything, even something as beautiful as sports turns to crap because people want to get the hell out. I can't stand the Cuban government...
Their healthcare is in ruins, their doctors commit atrocities, there's tons of medical malpractice. Maybe for a tourist it's good, but for the people it's horrible, but that's the least the goverment could do I guess, not like the Cuban people could afford healthcare anyway. I'm all for a good healthcare system, but unfortunately, not all free healthcare is good healthcare. As for their education, yeah it's pretty good. I've gone there a few times, it's really sad how they have to live.
@buddy, no lol, I mean every day malpractice, and I know quite a few examples. Unlike some people, I know people who have lived there their entire lives until now, when I asked about their healthcare over there, and how I thought it was a good thing that it was free, they almost got offended, lol. Their government is corrupt and oppressive, but hey, free barely decent healthcare, or basic human rights? They(Cuban citizens) didn't have that choice...
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOL!!! Seriously dude, don't comment on what you don't know. Everyone says "ohhh cuba has the best healthcare in the world, cuba doesn't have it too bad they have good education the government takes care of them."
Please, people get little coupons to go buy what little food and house supplies they have the right to, education pffffft. More like indoctrination, the castro communist party and its values is shoved into the people from little all the way till they grow up. How would you feel if you weren't allowed to go and enjoy your on beaches and foreigners where. How would you feel if you had a daughter and had to prostitute her to the tourist in the Hotels to try and make some type of spare money because what the government gives you isn't enough. I hope you realize how wrong your statement looks because that's exactly how it is. Europeans, Canadians and many others nations go and keep the Castro government up thanks to nations just having go and do the opposite of what U.S says, note I'm not american, I'm Venezuelan, if european countries had actually done the embargo the castro regime would have finished ages ago.
"reasonable normal life" i guess you've got a delorean in the garage and go back to the 60s and life in those days because thats what people in cuba do, isolated form the rest of the world.
@Buddy clearly you have no idea that the problem the UK faces are whole worlds different to that of Cuba and many other 3rd world nations. "Every country has its problems but if done right it is better to share with everyone than let the few hoard everything."
Dude this is what the cuban government does, the people starve out and die trying to escape that hellish island.
I'm sorry if I seem like an @sshole about this but misinformed arguments really rustle my jimmies and piss me off.
The safest way to get out of Cuba is to join a national team on any sport and then run like hell once you're on another country.
