Slow start, but damn, what a finish, Chicharito was on point today, I have to admit I didn't expect 2 from him.
chicharito seems to have improved his all round game on the evidence of tonight and its ironic that both of his runs were both on side after being caught offside so much this season.
When I find myself in times of trouble, Chicharito scored for me! Javier Hernandez, Little Pea, Little Pea!
Had to double check the score when I saw 2-0 to Braga.
Great performance by Chicharito and Manchester United!
I don't understand why United always gives up an early lead. they have only had 1 or 2 games where they scored first. its becoming rather annoying/worry-some that they concede goals so early every game. I dont know what they need to do but something in the back needs to be shaken up in a big way.
It makes for exciting games!
it could make for disaster if United were to play against a team that were stronger than braga or Cluj.
It could but it might not be. I don't like to talk in hypotheticals.
did anyone else notice that rooney, RVP and kagawa all played the exact same game. sit behind the lone striker (chicharito), find pockets of space and try to make moves for hernandez to score. basically we had 3 guys doing the job of 1 guy.
i think it was because of this, in the first half united were finding it hard to break braga down. there was no width on the pitch and all the play was too centralized. at half time when they brought on Nani, who gave them the width, they really had braga like we expected.
how does chicharito not start games ahead of wellback is beyond me. he just showed us what a quality striker he is. i mean he should have had a hat-trick, but there were a few incorrect offside decisions that went against him. his second goal was quality but that cross from cleverley was superb.
defensively, united have a lot of questions that need answering. but we just need smalling, vidic and jones to be fit again and i think united should be fine. lets hope its soon. weird though, players who are injured will be guaranteed game time, and fit players have to warm the bench.
The problem I thought United had was little p was playing form the left in the 1st half and he cant do that. That is where wellback is stronger than little p but for finishing he is a lot better wellback misses too many for me. I think once little p went in the centre of the box he looked good. Also people are forgetting that we had 2 goals not given for offside decisions and this would of meant the score would of been 5 2 and people would not be saying we were lucky. We are not looking good at the back but playing carrick as centre back is not the right move by SAF. I we have 2 young centre backs in the squad he should of played them and I think the socre would of been different but I also think playing a diamond formation is not what United are about. United have played 442 for years now and that has been our winning formation and when we went back to that yesterday we then started to own the game. People keep talking about United lacking a midfield player but for me we need another right sided player to play on the right when Val is out as we have Young and Nani on the left but short on the right. Should be interesting to see what happens on Sunday as Chelsea are looking good at the moment and I think if United keep a clean sheet in the 1st 20 minutes we should be able to get a win out of that game but its not going to be easy.
Great match by United after the 2-0. I love watching matches like these and the "Never Die" attitude.
