Good performance today and RVP and Chicharito are becoming a deadly partnership!

PaPa-Slam4304d ago

Agreed, though it is sad to see Rooney fade into the darkness.

Next time, no more heroes mind posting the correct scoreline with all the goals embedded?

On topic: Van Persie is sadly winning the title for United. Good job, Arsenal.

PaPa-Slam4304d ago

LOL, Arsenal would be kicking itself now.

We tried to sell him abroad. Apparently, Barca and Madrid weren't interested but we were ready to sell him to Juve for only 10 million. But he didn't want to go. We had no other choice but to sell him to United.

I did. Probably wasn't mine you were looking at. :/

Anyway, this doesn't surprise me. This is more along the lines of our typical performance these days. The recent 5-2 and 7-3 matches are rarities in terms of performance.

Rooney missing, nobody notices. Hernandez and Van Persie as deadly still as any other attack in the league.

2 games, 2 clean sheets. Much needed defensive progress for the more difficult games to come, Liverpool and then Spurs which will be the big test this month.

I have been most impressed with the depth of United's squad over this festive season, chopping and changing but getting the results needed. Today was 5 changes. Its a real luxury to be able to do that and it'll help United when it comes to the business end of the season if they are still in the FA cup and Champions league etc.

Kagawa has come back and looks really tasty immediately. Vidic is back too. United can get even better from this point on.

"Rooney missing, nobody notices."

thats actually a good thing. it shows that the team arent relying on rooney as heavily as some people might think. its not saying he isnt needed at the club. shows that united have depth within the squad to rest a big player like rooney and still come out with results.

im sure if RVP were to get injured <i hope it isnt any time soon> i can still see united scoring goals with rooney and chicharito. wellbeck has his moments too.

@papa-slam above
rooney hasnt faded into the darkeness. he's injured, not pulling a torres on united. he brings an extra dimension to the team and is more involved in the game. when he gets back fit, i think united could just run away with the title this season. heres hoping.

welbeck and chicharo would stay on those levels if ferguson didn't bench them all of a sudden.

PaPa-Slam4304d ago

RVP is simply unstoppable, he's scoring almost every game.

KingPin4304d ago (Edited 4304d ago )

yes yes yes - another clean sheet :D
guess the defense is improving. shows how much we missed vidic.

hernandez, glad to see him finally play a full 90mins ahead of wellbeck. and his finishing, awesome. he just knows how to be at the right place at the right time.

RVP is an amazing player. i admired him from his young arsenal days, through injuries and all. glad he is finally playing for united, and doing an awesome job at that.
