When Javier Balboa returns from Equatorial Guinea to his mid-table Portuguese club, to the homely 8,000-capacity stadium of Estoril Praia, it will be something of a culture shock.
Balboa knows the surroundings, having been at Estoril for 18 months. But he is a fringe player, an extra forward who has not played a full game this season. He has made six appearances as a substitute and has not scored a goal.
