Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says it will be “virtually impossible” for the Reds to finish in the Champions League spots following their 4-1 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday.
The Reds were convincingly beaten at the Emirates, a defeat that saw the Gunners move nine points clear of Brendan Rodgers’ side with just seven games left to play.
Speaking after the game Rodgers admitted his side would now find it "very difficult" to secure a top four finish as they lie seven points behind Manchester City, who currently occupy the final spot, having played a game more.
