MARSEILLE, France (AFP) - Marseille were crowned French league champions for the first time in 18 years here on Wednesday after a 3-1 victory over Rennes.
Marseille - who also won the League Cup this campaign - lead Lille and Auxerre by eight points with just two matches remaining.
